1. Electric motor and oil pump do not work ? |
| A
: (1) Verify the connection of three-phase power supply, check the
auto-breaker and magnetic contactor of electric motor.
(2) Check whether the oil pump is blocked .
(3) The emergency stop may be depressed.
(4) Relay is out of order.
* Check the power supply connect to relay.
* Check whether relay coil can work properly.
(5) Check whether the pump and electric motor can rotate freely.
(6) Motor may be overloaded.

| 2. Electric motor & oil pump run normally but the system pressure is
still low ? |
A :
(1) Hydraulic oil has been contaminated. Oil filter is blocked.
(2)
Oil leakage within the oil pump.
(3)
Proportional relief valve or hydraulic valve is out of order.
* Check if there is output signal from controller to valve.
* Check if supply voltage to valve is normal.
* Check if the valve coil is short circuit or improper contact.
* Push the solenoid of valve by hand to check whether solenoid
can move freely.
(4)
Oil leakage from piston rods, oil pipes, fittings and adaptors of
the cylinder.
(5) Amplifier card EPA-01D is damaged (Mitsubishi PLC only)

| 3. Mould cannot close ? |
| A
: (1) Safety guard is not closed.
(2)
Safety device incorporates on safety doors is out of order.
(Limit Switches, Hydraulic safety interlock, safety pawl)
(3)
Hydraulic valve for clamping is out of order.
* Check if there is output signal from controller to valve.
* Check if supply voltage to valve is normal.
* Check if the valve coil is short circuit or improper contact.
* Push the solenoid of valve by hand to check whether solenoid
can move freely.
(4)
Platen reaches the start core in position, but core in cannot
complete.
* Check whether the limit switch is working properly.
(5) Ejectors do not go back.
* Check oil leakage from ejector cylinder and limit switch.
(6) Check whether the oil seal for clamping cylinder is damaged.

| 4. No injection ? |
| A
: (1) Heating zone of heating barrel has not reached the specified
production temperature yet.
(2)
Temperature of heating zone deviates from the set temperature
from tolerate level.
(3)
Heating control panel is not set to "Production" mode.
(4)
Hydraulic valve is out of order.
* Check if there is output signal from controller to valve.
* Check it supply voltage to valve is normal.
* Check if the valve coil is short circuit or poor contact.
* Push the solenoid of valve by hand to check whether solenoid
can move freely.
(5) The injection pressure is too low.
(6) Transducer or switch is not working properly.
(7) Check whether the oil seal for injection cylinder is damaged.

| 5. No plasticizing or the melting rate is too low ? |
A :
(1) Transducer of screw rotation is damaged or wrong position setting.
(2)
Hydraulic valve for screw drive or back pressure is out of order.
* Check if there is output signal from controller to valve.
* Check if supply voltage to valve is normal.
* Check if the valve coil is short circuit or poor contact.
* Push the solenoid of valve by hand to check whether solenoid
can move freely.
(3) Temperature is too low leading to the overload of hydraulic motor.

| 6. Screw can rotate but the plastic material does not get into the barrel ? |
A :
(1) The screw back pressure is too high
(2)
cooling rate at the back of barrel (cooling ring) is too slow.
This makes the temperature near the hopper is so high that the
passage has been blocked by melted plastic material.

| 7. The carriage cannot move ? |
| A
: (1) Check the limit switch for carriage forward and backward.
(2) Hydraulic valve for carriage is out of order.
* Check if there is output signal from controller to valve.
* Check if supply voltage to valve is normal.
* Check if the valve coil is short circuit or poor contact.
* Push the solenoid of valve by hand to check whether solenoid
can move freely.
(3) Check whether the oil seal for carriage cylinder is damaged.

| 8. No ejection ? |
| A
: (1) Platen is not opened to the open-end position.
(2) Proximity switch is not functioning properly.
(3) Core is not come out of mold cavity yet.
* Limit switch for core out is not working.
* Hydraulic valve for core pulling is not working.
(4) Hydraulic valve for ejection is out of order.
* Check if there is output signal from controller to valve.
* Check if supply voltage to valve is normal.
* Check if the valve coil is short circuit or poor contact.
* Push the solenoid of valve by hand to check whether solenoid
can move freely.
(5) Check whether the oil seal for ejection cylinder is damaged.

| 9. Mould height cannot be adjusted ? |
A :
(1) The threads of tie bar has been burned.
* Recover the threads if possible or replace the tie bar.
(2)
Mould height adjustment motor is not working properly.
(3)
Limit switch for mold height adjustment is out of order.
(4)
Hydraulic valve for mould height adjustment is out of order.
* Check if there is output signal from controller to valve.
* Check if supply voltage to valve is normal.
* Check if the valve coil is short circuit or poor contact.
* Push the solenoid of valve by hand to check whether solenoid
can move freely.

| 10. Unusual sound during mould opening? |
A :
(1) Wearing of toggles, pins and bushes.
(2)
Unsuitable position settings for clamping stroke.

| 11. Automatic or Semi-auto mode does not work? |
| A
: (1) If all strokes and functions can operate under manual mode but
automatic or semi-auto mode does not work, it implies that the
transducer, limit switch, timer or photo sensor cannot send out
the signal to the valve. Pls also check the output signal and
input signal of the I/O board or PLC.

| 12. Temperature is out of control ? |
| A
: (l) Power supply circuit to heater relay is cut off.
(2)
Heater relay is malfunction.
(3)
Auto-breaker for heating zone has not switched on.
(4)
Thermocouple is damaged or detached.
(5)
Temperature controller is damaged.
(6)
Heater band is damaged.

| 13. Toggle Jam ? |
| A
: (l) High pressure locking time is too long.
* Set 1st stage mould open at speed 90%. Increase the system
pressure more than 140 bars or 170 bars depending on the upper
limit of system pressure.
* Hammering the upper toggle joint with a thick wood underneath.
|
| 14.
Abnormal sound is heard during carriage movement? |
| A
: (l) Gas run into the oil tank when hydraulic oil is filling.
* Loosen the bolt on proportional valve, press carriage forward
and backward allowing he air comes out.
